Vintage Bottles

I went for fabrics hunting yesterday and ended up burning a big hole in my pocket. The variety of fabrics in Taiwan is amazing and I just couldn't resist!! I will share pictures of my purchase soon!

On my way to the train station, I chanced upon a shop selling all sorts of European style zakka stuffs. Imagine a shop full of baskets, bottles, flowers, lace, kitchenware, bags and dolls! As I walked further into the shop, I was surprised to see two old men sitting there, watching a Japanese program on TV. They're at least in their 80's! My opinion might be skewed but I'd expect to see such a girly shop to be managed by a female salesperson, rather than these two gentlemen. When I was browsing through their lovely products, I couldn't help but kept stealing glances at them.  They simply took no notice of my presence and when I asked for the prices of some of the items, they were quite grumpy too. :-P

Fortunately a lady came out of the back room in time and answered all my questions. It turns out that some of the items are quite pricey, as they're vintage pieces according to her. In the end, I happily walked out of the shop with these two bottles, a brown one with no lid, and a small green one with a screwed cap. I'll leave the bottles on top of the shelf for the time being, until I figure out what to do with them. ^_^

Glad you have this space as a journal on discovering TW.;) I'm loving green bottle especially, and your always beautiful picture.

The handphone pouch is so personalized and sweet! Must be great to have intelligent hands like yours, heheh. ;)
